Position Overview
Weeks Group, LLC is seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Director with a strong background in construction finance, project accounting, and operational financial leadership. This role will oversee the company’s financial operations, strengthen reporting and controls, support strategic decision-making, and help drive profitability across complex data center construction and consulting projects.
The Finance Director will sit on the Weeks Group Leadership Team and actively participate in our EOS Level 10 meetings, contributing to company-wide planning, issue solving, scorecard accountability, and strategic execution. This is not a back-office-only role. This person will be expected to provide financial clarity, challenge assumptions, identify risk, and help guide leadership decisions with confidence and accuracy.
The ideal candidate understands the pace and complexity of construction, including job costing, cash flow management, project forecasting, WIP reporting, contract billing, risk management, and financial controls. This person will be both strategic and hands-on, able to lead accounting functions while also partnering closely with operations, project leadership, executives, banks, auditors, insurers, clients, and external advisors.
Work Arrangement
This is a remote, full-time position requiring approximately 40 hours per week. The successful candidate must be highly self-driven, self-directed, disciplined, and comfortable managing priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
Quarterly travel is required to meet in person with the leadership team, participate in strategic planning, and support company alignment.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $200,000 to $215,000, commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Accounting and Finance Functions
Oversee all accounting and finance activities, including financial reporting, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, billing, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes.
Serve on the Leadership Team
Participate as a key member of the Weeks Group Leadership Team, including EOS Level 10 meetings, quarterly planning, annual planning, scorecard review, issue identification, and execution of company priorities.
Own Construction Financial Reporting
Manage project financial reporting, job costing, WIP schedules, revenue recognition, budget-to-actual analysis, cash flow projections, and profitability tracking across active projects.
Budgeting, Forecasting, and Cost Control
Prepare, monitor, and refine company and project budgets. Provide accurate forecasting and cost analysis to support proactive decision-making and protect margins.
Support Operational Decision-Making with Financial Clarity
Partner with leadership and project teams to provide financial insights, identify risks, analyze trends, and support smart operational decisions.
Protect the Company’s Financial Health
Identify financial risks, strengthen internal controls, improve financial processes, and develop strategies to safeguard the company’s profitability, cash position, and long-term stability.
Manage Banking, Insurance, Tax, and External Relationships
Cultivate and manage relationships with banks, insurance providers, tax advisors, external auditors, legal partners, and other financial stakeholders.
Lead Compliance and Audit Readiness
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, contract requirements, insurance obligations, tax filings, and audit processes. Prepare documentation and manage external audit relationships.
Client and Contract Financial Management
Support client financial relationships, contract billing, change order tracking, lien waiver processes, collections, and financial documentation required for project execution.
Improve Systems and Processes
Evaluate and improve finance systems, ERP utilization, reporting tools, workflows, and financial controls to support company growth and scalability.
Lead and Develop the Finance Team
Build, mentor, and support accounting and finance team members while promoting accountability, accuracy, urgency, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.
- CPA, MBA, or advanced finance/accounting certification preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive finance or accounting experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in construction, engineering, project-based services, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of construction finance, job costing, WIP reporting, project forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, compliance, and audit preparation.
- Ability to interpret contracts, billing requirements, change orders, and project financial documentation.
- Experience working with or participating in EOS, Level 10 meetings, scorecards, rocks, and leadership accountability systems preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial leaders.
- High level of integrity, discretion, accountability, and professional judgment.
- Comfortable working remotely in a highly self-directed role.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in data center construction, mission critical construction, commercial construction, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with AIA billing, retainage, lien waivers, subcontractor compliance, and percentage-of-completion accounting.
- Experience working with executive leadership on strategic planning, financial modeling, and growth initiatives.
- Experience improving financial systems, controls, dashboards, and reporting processes.
- Prior leadership team experience in an EOS-run organization.
